Together, we’ll review your space and gain a clear understanding of your needs and goals. I’ll ask questions about what works well, what challenges you’re facing, and how you envision living in it. Together, we’ll uncover opportunities to improve functionality, flow, and overall design, with recommendations tailored to your lifestyle.
I’ll create a detailed scope of work and proposal for your project. This will outline the goals for your home and highlight the areas we’ll be focusing on, so you know exactly what to expect. Giving you a clear picture of the plan and next steps before we move forward together.
Time to dive into your inspiration that will guide the direction of your concept. I will create a concept document that include images and descriptions of design ideas tailored to your style and needs. This concept will serve as the foundation for selecting drawings, finishes, and furnishings, think of it as the start of your personalized design roadmap.
The fun part! I’ll present the detailed drawings, elevations, and space planning to ensure every aspect of the design is clear. We will go through materials, finishes, and fixtures with options for your consideration. If any tile, countertop, or other element doesn’t feel quite right, there’s no need to worry, we can always make adjustments and reselect to find the perfect fit for your home!
Now that everything is finalized I’ll bring it visually to life in the drawings. All materials, fixtures, and finishes will be compiled into the specification document. Think of these two items as a complete package, they work together to provide a clear, comprehensive roadmap for your project. Your contractor can then use this package to accurately price out the project, and all trades will follow these approved drawings and specifications to ensure your design is executed exactly as planned!
I’m not a “drop and go” interior designer, I’m here to guide you through the construction phase and make sure everything goes smoothly. If any issues or surprises come up, I’m here to help problem-solve and find the best solutions with you. Not sure about a detail? Just reach out and we can chat about it. I also work closely with your contractor and trades to make sure the design is executed just as we planned, and I enjoy doing weekly site walk-throughs to stay involved every step of the way.
